Shreveport, LA – KBA provided architectural design services to Aillet Fenner Jolly and McClelland on the 280,000 Sqft steel coil coating facility. Responsibilities included production of drawings detailing the two steel buildings around the two 800 foot long coating machines and associated equipment. Also, the design and detailing of a 8,000 sq. ft. office within the building and a host of ancillary buildings and spaces for equipment, chemical storage, machine control rooms, hazardous storage, etc.
Ternium is a South American company that relocated their offices and production facilities from California to Louisiana in 2006. The company specializes in cleaning, coating, and cutting raw steel coils into finished panels for use as roofing and siding as well as for use in the automotive industry. Two of Ternium’s major clients locally are General Motors and McElroy Metal, which is one of the nation’s largest suppliers of roofing and wall panel products.
