Wieland Office
Another great addition to downtown! This new office is a renovation of one of Shreveport’s oldest buildings, only one block from the downtown Riverfront. The building sat vacant for many years and formerly housed Sciport before their expansion into their new, much larger facility on Clyde Fant. KBA worked with Wieland in documenting the existing space and developing a floorplan, material layout and various furniture arrangements in order to ensure their new office would utilize the open floorplan they wanted, without hindering the capacity for individual workspaces to feel private. Another great new office in Downtown! This new office on one of the upper floors in the Lofts @ 624 Texas turned out beautifully. This project includes several unique features, such as custom oversized top-hung sliding doors for each office, allowing for a more flexible open office environment. Natural light is brought into the kitchen and plan review areas through large north facing windows. Large Fiddler Fig and Large Leaf Fern potted planters are placed throughout, balancing some natural colors against the exposed historic masonry walls, as well as the new bar joist structure for the floor above. POTC Expansion
This ongoing project is an expansion to the upstairs deck at Pierremont Oaks Tennis Club, specifically the upstairs lounge known to club members as “Loser Buys”. The proposed expansion includes addition of approximately 2,000 sqft of second floor deck, fully surrounding the building. The deck will also surround the adjacent old growth Live Oak tree, which in turn will provide shade for the new structure. The scope of work also includes expanding the existing interior space and enclosing what is now a covered porch.
